Description

I created a backup with a big file from VirtualBox? (10 gb VDI), I splitted in 700 mb to put it into a external drive. But now I can't unzip. I just receive the error code 2 using P7zip.
I tried all versions from Keka, but without success...
The biggest problem is that my work is into there. :'(
Can you help me please?
Best regards;

Write this in the Terminal:

defaults write com.aone.keka DevLog -bool TRUE

Try to unzip again and take a look at the console. Print here any Keka or keka7z output.

The error is at start or it unzips some part of the volumes and then fails? Is it a 7z file or you compressed it in other format?

Thanks!

The smaller files were unzipped, but none from the biggest... The error is displayed very soon, I can see that it, does not change the volume.
I did change the compressed type... I used default.
But I can say, that I used some old version. But I don't know what it was, sorry... :(
Thanks you for any kind of help.

Try to extract it with the command line. You can find the keka7z binary inside Keka.app/Contents/Resources. It must look something like:

/Applications/Keka.app/Contents/Resources/keka7z x /Users/mwjunior/yourfolder/Delphi.zip.001

Note the space betwenn "keka7z x" and the file path. You can also add a "> keka7zOut.txt" at the end of the string to attach the output here.

Let me know how it goes.

Any update on this? I forgot to say that you can try to do it with an older version of Keka:

0.1.4.3: http://sourceforge.net/projects/keka/files/Keka%200.1.4/Keka-0.1.4.3.dmg/download
0.1.3.4: http://sourceforge.net/projects/keka/files/Older%20versions/Keka%200.1.3.4/keka-0.1.3.4.zip/download

You've changed the OS of your Mac or the compressed files where in an external disk with a format different from the disk you're trying to extract them?

I already tried with oldest versions... Without success...

I compressed with Mac OSX 10.8.2 and copied them at external disk.
Than I did a downgrade for Mac OSX 10.7.x and when I saw that I can't unzip. I update for Mac OSX 10.8.2 again, thinking that was the problem. But no success ether.

No success? You have the option to try it with 7-Zip on a Windows OS?
